Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty Realtor© Bruce Carta will be featured on HGTV’s “Log Cabin Living” later this month, as he helps a Denver-area couple search for a second home in the mountains.

The episode entitled Colorado Family Seeks Log Cabin Getaway For Outdoor Adventure follows second home buyers Karl and Kelly  as they search for “the perfect log cabin retreat to get away from their busy lives in Denver, Colorado.”

“Having the Steamboat Springs real estate market represented on a show like ‘Log Cabin Living’ creates an amazing opportunity to showcase Steamboat Springs as a great place to live, work and play,” Carta said. “Working with the crew from HGTV, and seeing how these types of television shows are made was exciting. My clients, Karl and Kelley Marie, were great, and I can’t wait to see the show.”

Traveling lightly, the show sent out a camera crew, an audio crew, and a director. “The show was a lot of fun to do,” says Carta “and the crew was very helpful.” During the five day shoot Carta and his clients spent long days filming, generally from 8 am -5 pm. “Though the show is not scripted, the shots have to be just right,” recalls Carta. “There were many times that we would have to do a retake because I stumbled on my words.”

In addition to coverage of Carta, and the prospective houses, the sights and sounds of Steamboat Springs will be prominently featured in the episode.

The episode airs at 11:30 p.m. Jan.16 and again at 2:30 a.m. Jan. 17 on HGTV.
