West Steamboat generally refers to all neighborhoods on the western edge of city limits, extending out to Steamboat II, Heritage Park and Silver Spur. These neighborhoods consist primarily of single family homes that are often at a more affordable price point than what is available in town and on the mountain. These residential areas are home to full-time, year-round residents. West Steamboat is home to the newly built Bear River Bike and Skate Park as well as the Steamboat Springs Community Center. There is also a 9-hole golf course and the private Christian Heritage School.

West Steamboat follows the Highway 40 corridor along the western edge of Steamboat Springs to the town of Hayden. The town of Hayden is located 20 miles west of Steamboat Springs and is home to the Yampa Valley Regional Airport, making West Steamboat an incredibly convenient place to call home for frequent travelers or those who expecting to host a steady stream of guests in their new mountain home.

West 40, Steamboat Springs, CO, USA:

Just a few miles west of Steamboat Springs is shrub-speckled, rocky countryside, with only the clear views of Mount Werner rising in the rearview mirror serving as a reminder of town. Only slightly farther out you’ll find some of the area's most popular and most affordable subdivisions, including Heritage Park, Steamboat II, Silver Spur Estates and West End Village. This area is particularly popular with working families.

Throughout the western U.S. Highway 40 corridor, there are nice views of the ski mountain and surrounding hills, with Steamboat Golf Club nearby. Good family-sized homes, easy shopping, a neighborhood feel and affordability are all reasons to choose a home along the West 40 corridor. And if skiing is a draw, the resort is only a 10-minute drive away.
