The vibrant golds, oranges and reds of autumn are on full display in and around Steamboat Springs, with the fall colors reaching their peak this week. At the end of September each year, Mother Nature puts on a spectacular show for residents and visitors to the Yampa Valley, and 2016 is no exception.

Fall is definitely in the crisp morning air, as the fog lifts off of the Yampa River flowing through downtown Steamboat, and the first snowflakes fall at the top of the Steamboat Ski Area. It is a stunningly magical time to be in Northwest Colorado. It seems that everywhere you look, there is inspiration and awe. The groves of golden aspens and the leaves fluttering through the cool breezy air set the perfect framework for a phenomenal photo-op.

Enjoy the below series of photos, submitted by Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty brokers. Some are from the vantage point of a beautiful property currently listed for sale, others are locations around Steamboat, from Rabbit Ears Pass to Buffalo Pass, the Steamboat Ski Area to downtown Steamboat Springs.

Enjoy …
