The 2018 real estate market was highlighted by a series of significant sales. Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty garnered almost 50% of the total market share of volume sold in 2018 – twice that of our nearest competitor – with almost 1,000 closed transactions. Farm & ranch properties and luxury residential homes priced over $3 million generated almost $70 million in volume, as reported by the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors.
In the farm & ranch and luxury home niche, 83% of the transactions over $4 million, and 100% of the transactions over $6 million were represented by a Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty broker.
Luxury mountain estates, waterfront flyfishing retreats, recreational and working ranches, Steamboat Springs luxury homes, and luxury ski-in/ski-out homes all comprised the list of the highest priced sales in 2018.

GRIZZLY RANCH
This large-scale working livestock operation includes significant improvements along with water, mineral and recreational attributes, a central ranch headquarters with 3 residences and multiple outbuildings. The offering included 8,686 deeded acres, and an additional 14,943 of BLM & State of Colorado leased acres. SLATE CREEK RANCH
Bordering Steamboat Springs city limits, Slate Creek Ranch encompasses 1,118 acres with stunning scenery, valuable water and mineral rights, abundant wildlife, ponds, easy paved access and a protected setting with total privacy and Steamboat Ski Area views. SKY RIVER RANCH

The sale of Knorr Lakeside Ranch was an important one for land conservation in Summit County and was a collaborative effort to keep the property protected from development in perpetuity.
