The 38th Annual Steamboat Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K are just over a month away, on June 2, 2019. Registration fees go up on May 1, so now is the time to get online and get registered!
Ranked as one of the “Top 10 Destination Marathons in North America,” the route takes you through the Elk River Valley in North Routt, along emerald green meadows and the banks of the Elk River, through the streets of downtown Steamboat to the finish, lined with cheering spectators. For the runners from all over the country who have come to Steamboat Springs for the annual race, it is clear why Runner’s World featured the Half-Marathon in its “Bucket List: 9 Destination Half Marathons.”
While the race is held on Sunday morning, there is a full schedule of events on race weekend, including a Health and Wellness Expo, Kids’ Fun Run, vendor booths at the finish line on the Routt County Courthouse lawn in downtown Steamboat.
