Sotheby’s International Realty recently relaunched SIR Mobile – the real estate app designed with the consumer in mind.
SIR Mobile is the only truly international property search app, allowing users to search homes in 70 countries. The relaunch of SIR Mobile is designed to streamline the user experience between the app and sothebysrealty.com, and includes additional functionality and search options.
One of the most popular features of the app is the GPS search. With location detection enabled, the GPS search function will pull up homes in the vicinity that are listed for sale, displaying property details, photos and video. A user can make an inquiry or set up a showing directly from the app.
Locally in Steamboat Springs and the Yampa Valley, the app includes a feed from the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors, so it will populate all properties currently listed for sale, whether listed by Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty or not.
Picture this: You are sitting on the chairlift at Steamboat Ski Area and you see a sign on a beautiful home under the Gondola. Maybe you are in the market for a luxury ski-in/ski-out home, or maybe you are just curious what a home like that might cost in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Either way, you pull up your SIR Mobile app on your phone, not knowing the address, MLS # or any information about the property. The GPS search function populates, showing you an exterior photo of all homes listed for sale in your vicinity. You quickly recognize the photo of the home that you just traveled over and pull up the details of the property. After viewing the photos and video, you have arrived at the top of the Gondola, and it’s time to ski. You bookmark the property as a favorite so you can go back to it later to check it out in greater detail, or to inquire with an agent about the property. You put your phone away and enjoy a great day on the slopes. It is that simple.
In addition to the GPS search, SIR Mobile offers the options to search for properties for sale or lease by area, price, type, etc., new developments, real estate offices and real estate professionals.
Users also have the ability to search by destinations and lifestyles. So if someone is looking for the ideal ski-in/ski-out condominium, they simply search the ski lifestyle and can check out listings from ski resorts all over the country or across the globe (including those listed in Steamboat by Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty).
Other cool functions of the app include a map draw tool, allowing a user to draw a custom search area, and driving directions to the homes that are of interest.
