Whether you’re here in Steamboat visiting or are a long-time local, you’ve probably noticed our little town definitely does not have a shortage of exciting events. When it comes to the holidays, we know how to celebrate. And anytime there’s a good excuse for a fireworks show, Steamboat won’t disappoint.

If you’re struggling to decide how to ring in 2020 and start the new decade off on the right foot, we’ve rounded up plenty of fun options for you and your family to enjoy!

Mountain Area:
Steamboat Resort Torchlight Parade & Fireworks
The Steamboat Resort New Year’s Eve celebration will begin at 5:30 at the ski area base. Enjoy an exciting on-snow parade down the mountain put on by the SnowSports School, lit by torches. Lit-up snowcats decorated with holiday lights lead the parade, and the event completes with a spectacular fireworks show.

Steamboat Resort New Year’s Eve Party at Timber & Torch
Celebrate the New Year 80’s style at Timber and Torch. Celebrate at this themed party, and wear your best 80’s outfit or simply come as you are. The evening starts at 9PM and includes a snack buffet, live music with “All About Me,” and a complimentary Korbel toast at midnight. $30 entry and cash bar available.

Downtown Events:
Bowl, Brew, and Boogie at Snow Bowl
Dance and bowl with DJ Chris Freese. Enjoy the happy hour menu available for late-night snacks and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. There is no cover charge! This event begins at 9pm and is 21+.

Euforquestra NYE Bash at Schmiggity’s
Dance the night away with Eufórquestra (pronounced yoo-FOHR-keh-struh, think euphoria+orchestra). The band blends the roots of funk, soul, afrobeat, reggae, and dub to create a totally unique sound.

NYE Bash at Aurum
Live music by Throwdown, one of Steamboat’s favorite local classic rock cover bands.

Steamboat Whiskey Company
2020 Speakeasy themed party – There will be food by Meat & Seafood Company, prohibition-themed cocktails, and a champagne toast.

Buffalo Commons at Old Town Pub
One of Steamboat’s most famous local bands, Buffalo Commons, will never disappoint

New Year’s Eve Comedy at The Chief Theater
End 2019 laughing the night away with some of Steamboat’s best comedians. Doors 7pm. Comedy 8pm. Tickets $20.
