Our Blog

After more than two months of living with COVID-19 and all of the regulations that came with it, we’re excited that things in Steamboat are starting to feel a little more “normal,” or at least we’re adjusting to our new normal. We’re happy to welcome you back safely, and we hope you will consider visiting us to work remotely or enjoy the outdoors.

Since the Stay at Home order issued on March 14th, Routt County issued additional public health orders to keep our community safe, so that we could jumpstart the summer season by welcoming back second homeowners and visitors alike. The short-term lodging ban expires May 31st and will not be extended. While there are still mitigation plans for all businesses, including physical distancing and facial coverings while indoors, which will remain in effect until June 22nd, our businesses are welcoming customers and excited to serve you. Our retail stores are open, our restaurants are serving either take-out or in-person dining, our campgrounds are open for reservations, and best of all, the weather is nice, the trails are dry, and the outdoor fun in the sun is just beginning.

Whether you’re a homeowner here in Steamboat Springs or simply looking for a weekend getaway, we’re excited to welcome you back to our lovely mountain community. For the most up-to-date information on events and service operations, visit the Steamboat Chamber website or the Routt County COVID19 website.
