Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty recently revealed the original artwork for the 2021 Winter Carnival poster, created by local artist Sarah Juschka. This year, an additional fundraising item is also available – the same artwork is printed on cozy neck gaiters, also available for purchase. Posters are $10 each and the neck gaiters are $15 each. All proceeds benefit the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.
When tasked with the annual Winter Carnival artwork, Juschka jumped at the opportunity to create a feel-good piece that would resonate with all of those who’ve been able to experience what a special event Winter Carnival is for Steamboat Springs. From the fluffy mountain dogs to the kissing couple, and the center stage red sleigh with spirited steeds, Juschka chose an illustration style that you might find in a whimsical storybook.
With the purchase of a neck gaiter for $15, skiers and riders will get free lift ticket entry to ski at Howelsen Hill from February 3-6, 2021. Neck gaiters are available at the following retailers:
