Stephen Elkins Real Estate Professional in Steamboat Springs, Colorado and Tucson Arizona. Originally from Steamboat Springs, Colorado where my family Homesteaded and was active in the development and growth of the town of Steamboat Springs. After college I worked for a large mining company from 1968 -70. I began a career in the planning and development of the Steamboat Ski Area from 1970 through 1994. During my time with the Steamboat Ski Area, I was involved with the planning, development and construction of an eighteen hole Robert Jones golf course, condominium complexes, Hotel /commercial and ski area expansions projects. In 1979 and again in 1989 I was involved with the sale of the Ski Area. I followed with my Father's tradition of being involved in the community by serving on the City Planning Commission, the County airport board, the Upper Yampa Water Conservancy District Board and the Colorado Ski County Transportation Committee. I left the Steamboat Ski Corporation in 1994 to enjoy a career of selling general Real Estate. I became part owner of Lake Catamount Realty in 1998 and sole owner in 2000, and then in 2003 I merged Lake Catamount Realty with Prudential Steamboat Realty . January 2014 Prudential Steamboat Realty Transferred to Steamboat Sotheby's International Realty. I am a licensed Broker in Colorado and received my Arizona Brokers license in January 2015. I enjoy the outdoors, fishing, hiking, skiing, flying, mountain biking and riding horses. I really enjoy working with people and helping with their Real Estate transactions whether they are buying or selling, it is very rewarding putting deals together that allow clients to achieve their dream.
