Her extensive experience in customer service, operations, accounting, management, product development and marketing truly were the foundation stones for building her success in real estate.
Whether Carolyn is working with Buyers or Sellers, she consistently applies her customer-focused and detailed-oriented approach to every transaction, ensuring her commitment to excellence. Carolyn was born and raised in the Midwest and is a graduate of Indiana State University’s School of Business with a BS in Business Administration and Minors in Accounting and Computer Science. Upon graduation, Carolyn began her financial services career with the Midwest Stock Exchange in Chicago, IL. Carolyn quickly became part of the management team and a key decision maker and project manager.After 10 years, Carolyn found herself being recruited and hired by Wachovia Corporation to manage multiple operational areas within Trust and Securities Operations. During her tenure with Wachovia, Carolyn was afforded the opportunity to interact with all levels of management and customers, both internally and externally. She led teams through multiple bank and brokerage mergers and developed or enhanced bank and brokerage products.With the desire to live in the mountains and provide her son the opportunity to continue to advance his love for alpine ski racing, she called it quits in the financial services industry and the family relocated to Steamboat Springs in 2002. It was then that Carolyn discovered her passion for real estate after accepting an opportunity to help manage a small real estate company. She gained an enormous appreciation for the importance of choosing the right Realtor.
Buying and selling real estate are some of the most important financial decisions and experiences in any person's life. Many questions need to be answered, options weighed and decisions made. The transaction processes can be complicated and often confusing. The demand for excellence is paramount. Carolyn's overwhelming desire to accept these responsibilities and help clients through a stress-free navigation of the buying or selling process led her to become a full-time Realtor in 2006. 13+ successful years of selling real estate later, she retains the same passion for helping others reach their life goals.
Carolyn does not take life for granted and feels blessed to live in Northwest Colorado. In 2007, after building their family home, Carolyn and her family moved north to the Steamboat Lake area, often referred to as “recreation paradise”. When Carolyn is not helping her clients buy or sell property, she relishes family time and play time. She enjoys a multitude of outdoor activities including lap swimming, walking, hiking, biking, golfing, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and a good read on her deck while surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. Voluntary community involvements have included the Winter Sports Club, Strings in the Mountains, Humble Ranch, Perry Mansfield and Relay for Life.
