Born and raised in Steamboat Springs, Ben spent his childhood at Howelsen Hill dreaming of someday competing in the Winter Olympics. A member of the US Ski Team for five years, Ben made 24 World Cup starts and competed in multiple World Championships. He represented the United States in the 2018 Winter Olympics, becoming one of 100 Olympians from Steamboat Springs dating back to 1932.
Ben believes in learning from the best, which is why he returned to Steamboat Springs and joined The Boyd Team at Steamboat Sotheby’s International Realty. The Boyd Team continues to be one of the top producing real estate teams in the nation year after year, and Ben enjoys contributing to that success.
Ben comes from a family in the custom home business (Gerber Berend Design Build) and understands the importance of the ideal space. He brings his driven approach and local knowledge to the business and aims to not only navigate his clients through successful transactions, but to create an experience that is cherished for years to come.
Within the Steamboat community, Ben serves on the Parks and Recreation Commission, volunteers as a ski coach at the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, and leads Olympic Heritage Tours for the local Tread of Pioneers Museum.
Outside of work, Ben can be found skiing, biking, and enjoying Maestros at Storm Peak Brewing.
