What is your favorite thing about being part of the network?

I love that everyone who works for the corporate offices is so passionate about the brand and that they, as well as top producers throughout the network, are willing to share their ideas. The first GNE I ever attended was like no other “conference” that I had been to – the panels were fellow agents/brokers who were using the tools to maximize their productivity and exposure.

 

What did you do before real estate?

I am a second generation Realtor®, so I feel like I have been in real estate since I was young. However, prior to getting into real estate in 1992, I worked for a systems office furniture company in the customer care department.

 

Who is a leader that has inspired you and what is a piece of leadership advice that has stuck with you?

I had a mentor when I began my real estate career who encouraged me to invest in my business and to give back to my profession. I have been involved in both my local Realtor Association and have served for many years at the State level – it has given back to me in ways I never would have imagined. I have made amazing friends across the state and I feel that it has given me great knowledge of my profession.

 

What keeps you up at night?

The shifting market and keeping my brokers happy and inspired.

 

What keeps you inspired?

I am a voracious reader and an avid podcast listener.  I am constantly on the lookout for books, podcasts, etc that will give me ideas to better myself as well as my brokers.

 

Describe your company’s culture in a sentence.

We work hard and we play hard!

 

Provide a recruiting tip or a recruiting win.

We are in a very small market, so we have to be careful about the way we go about recruiting. I prefer to recognize brokers in our market who have had big wins or those who have seen an increase in their business over previous years. It’s amazing how often they will say, “Thanks, my own Broker didn’t even say anything to me!”
